Education and Work Experience

The right candidate has earned a BFA in Architecture, Interior Design, or a similar discipline from an accredited four-year institution. 3+ years of full time experience with a design and/or architecture firm is highly desired.

Workload and Software Experience

The applicant needs the ability to change directions throughout the day and pickup where he or she left off. Finishing assigned tasks per deadline is the only option. Our designers have working knowledge of AutoCad, Adobe InDesign and Photoshop, as well as Sketch Up. The ability to write in English utilizing various word processing and communication platforms such as Microsoft Word or Outlook is required. Knowledge of and experience with Kerkythea rendering software is a plus.

Proficiency and Responsibilities

This position requires product research and building code research. Correspondence via email, phone, fax, and in person on job sites is required on a regular basis. The applicant must be proficient at sketching, computer and hand rendering, assembling presentation boards, and creating specification binders. Other tasks may be necessary as a project requires because no two customer’s needs are the same.

Deadline Driven and Kind

The Designer position is responsible for completing work in a timely manner while following up with clients, contractors, and vendors. With so many people involved in the process, each project has a myriad of moving parts. The designer is instrumental in making sure a project is completed on time and to a customer’s complete satisfaction. Above all, the right person values and delivers excellent customer service throughout each phase of a project.
